The Seattle Symphony performs the live-to-picture concert of How to Train Your Dragon. DreamWorks’ beloved film of Hiccup and Toothless will be displayed on the large screen above the stage while the full score of the Oscar-nominated film is performed live by the Seattle Symphony. Written by John Powell, the score contains many wonderful songs including “Test Drive”, “Forbidden Friendship”, and “Coming Back Around”. The movie is known for its many exciting action sequences and powerful emotional moments which are brought to new life by the full orchestra. A live performance of a film’s score is a completely different experience from watching a recorded version of the movie and brings a new appreciation of the complex work of the orchestral music. The Seattle Symphony has performed many live-to-picture concerts including the live scores of Top Gun: Maverick as well as other films.
